A NEW residential development to be built at Rouse Hill is expected to be completed in time for the opening of Sydney Metro North West.

Construction is set to commence on the Cumberland Green estate, just off Windsor Rd, which is 700m from the future railway.

The Mayrin Group, one of two companies developing the site, have DA approval for six low-rise complexes comprising of 291 apartments. The units have been selling off the plan and attracting interest from both investors and owner-occupiers.

“The location is difficult to beat — extremely proximity to Rouse Hill Town Centre,’’ said William Wu, director of the Mayrin Group.

“It is to be completed earlier than most similar ventures in the area.’’

Apartment sizes range from 71.5 sqm for one-bedroom unit; 95 sqm for a two-bedroom unit and 139 sqm for a three-bedroom unit _ including balconies. These are priced from $530,000.

Designed by architects Group GSA. each building will have four levels and at least one parking space for each unit. Apartments will have stone kitchens with stainless steel appliances, while the bathrooms will have a feature wall and chrome tapware.

High security features are to be implemented — including CCTV and security windows — to ensure safety for unit residents.

“The interiors will provide spacious living areas, Mr Wu said.

“Tiled flooring will cover most areas of the unit, including the living rooms, but bedrooms will feature carpets.’’

The first stage of building is scheduled to be completed by 2019. The development will include multiple recreation facilities such as a BBQ and children’s play area.

Stage One of the construction contains two buildings with 135 units. There are currently 27 apartments available for sale.

Stage Two of the development will have four buildings comprising of 156 units.
